I’m Xiangling (香玲, pronounced shiāng-líng).

A work-in-progress food, travel, and documentary photographer, currently based in Tokyo, Japan.

I’m passionate about food and crafts—especially the people, places, histories and cultures behind them.

Recently, I’ve been exploring how food connects with identity—especially in diasporic, immigrant, and Indigenous communities. Those of us who live in between languages, cultures, and homelands.

Through words and images, I hope to tell stories that connect and move something in us, and make people feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
